Do you have an idea that you want to turn into company? Then this workshop is for you! StartInnov is a free bilingual (French/English) workshop that consists of 1 full intense day of group work. Individuals and teams are encouraged to submit their ideas that they would like to transform into a business plan. People who are interested in entrepreneurship can join the existing teams and advance on the project with them. All the participants and coaches are required to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), so your idea is safe with us! Upon submitting the signed NDA the participants can have an on-line access to submitted projects and get in touch with each other to pre-form the teams before the workshop. On Saturday 19th of November 2016 the participants will learn about project definition, developing market entry strategy, marketing (communication) strategy, intellectual property, business model and establishing first financial forecast. At the end of the day the participants will pitch their project to the panel of executive venture capitalists and experienced fundraisers, will get their input regarding the project and get an opportunity to network with them. You will also get a chance to meet multiple organizations that support start-ups and learn about how they can help you to launch your own business and win some cool prizes to help you accelerate your business! Our recent event "First EPFL Business Case Competition" was a great success and we were overwhelmed by the total number of applications. For those of you who did not get a chance to attend, but also for those who did but are still puzzled by some of the questions, we decided to organize this workshop where we will go through the two cases given at the competition and the solutions we were looking for. The event will be held at 18:00 on November 10 (Thursday) in CM 1 120. The event is free of charge and open to all Bachelor, Master and PhD students from both EPFL and UNIL as well as post-docs and staff. We would be grateful if participants could register by filling in this form. Only registered students will receive the cases in advance by e-mail and can come better prepared to the session.
